Jeff's going to purchase a dedicated server for NIMHmuck to be hosted on a dedicated connection inside a datacenter. What does this mean for you? We're hoping that it means an end to the unstable network conditions and downtime that the muck has been experiencing recently. It also means that there may be a short amount of downtime needed to make the switch, though we will try to run both servers concurrently until we're ready to make the full switch. NEW UPDATE: 06-11-06 The move has occured! There may be problems accessing the muck via muck.nimhmuck.org. If this happens to you, use the following IP address instead of muck.nimhmuck.org: 216.55.133.169

NIMHmuck is back up as of this morning. Thanks for your patience, everyone!

After upgrading NIMHmuck.org to the latest Drupal release, I found that it /still/ hadn't corrected a bug that prevented users from posting in thier blogs or on the forum. I had worked around this in the previous release, so I have reapplied that fix to the current website. Hopefully, this won't happen again.

Hey folks, we're back. The muck's changed IP addresses, so if you're still having trouble connecting, try using 70.190.215.53 instead of muck.nimhmuck.org. PLEASE remember to change it back to muck.nimhmuck.org after a day or so.

The muck seems to be down at the moment. Jeff has been contacted, so I guess we'll just have to hang tight for now.

After a long absence due to network and electrical problems, we are glad to announce that NIMHmuck is back and open for business! Important!! The muck's address has changed from galaxyport.net to muck.nimhmuck.org. The port number is the same (port 4567).

The muck is down, Jeff has been contacted, hang tight everyone, we'll try to get this resolved soon.

Update: Jeff has explained the situation in the comments below. We'll let you know when the muck is back up.

Update (1 Feb): The majority of the network problems have been resolved, however a few more linger. The muck should be up fairly soon. Important!! The muck's address will change from galaxyport.net to muck.nimhmuck.org. The port number should remain the same (port 4567).

Update (9 Feb): The muck is back up!

Well, all of the important content has been restored from the old NIMHmuck site to this one, thanks to the google cache we found of it. Unfortunately, since we didn't have a proper backup of things to begin with, all of the forum/blog postings and user accounts have been lost. Apologies for the inconvenience, and please re-register. Since this site's being hosted at Thorn Valley, it's been included in my backup schedule, so hopefully it won't happen again.
