Well folks, I'm in Alaska, moved into my apartment, and sorta kinda almost not really ready to start grad school. I have no idea what my schedule's really going to be at the moment--I know what classes I'm taking and which lab sessions I'll have to teach, but I have no idea what my workload's going to be like. Give me two weeks and I'll probably know.
See you on the muck when I see you.
After an extended absence, Draxtherion Hawkwind, one of the original NIMH rats, has found his way to Thorn Valley. He up and vanished somewhat unexpectedly from the Rosebush Colony shortly before where the book/film opens. Discussing the idea with Tim, it would better integrate the book and film if Drax were the one who left (in the book), being mistaken by some for Jenner due to his physical similarities.
Update: The new features have been integrated into the muck, so no action is required to join comsys. Unless you turned it off already, heh.
For anyone who's interested in testing new stuff.. There are two new
features currently under testing in the OOCC: 'editplayer' and 'comsys'.
Editplayer is predictably enough, a menu-based system for editing your
character's settings. From it you can set your description, pinfo, and other nice things.
Hm. I was browsing through at random and thought of an idea. I'm not sure if it's all that useful, but anyway...
Got an idea for a neat new feature, or a bug report, or just a plain old gripe about usability? This is the place where you can talk about it in a (hopefully) open forum/blog thing! XD
This is also where I'll try to keep a log of any relevant stuff I've already done. :P
Stuff done so far:

Tzolkin will be handling a lot of behind-the-scenes maintenance and coding to help make the muck a nicer, more user-friendly place to visit. If there's a bug, or if you'd like to request a feature on the muck, let him or any other wizstaff know, and we'll definitely consider it. If it's a good idea, it's very likely to make the muck.
Log of his inauguration follows:
In preparation for my internship, I will be moving the server that hosts Thorn Valley and NIMHmuck.org on Wednesday, April 16 to my sister's home (yay for nice sisters!) and hosting it on her connection for the 3 months that I will be away on my internship. The server will be down from around 1 PM MDT, and won't be back up until it's back up--hopefully around 6-7 PM MDT. Update: The server was moved successfully.
On August 18 I'm going to be moving to my college campus. Provided the firewalls don't block me out, and I'm unpacked enough, I'll try to show up. But there is a chance I won't, and in the off chance I am blocked, I could end up disappearing for a much longer period.
Sorry for any inconvenience this news or the message itself may cause.
We now return to our regularly scheduled programs.
Family vacation. Assuming I survive, I'll be back on the 24th. X.x
After that, I start work again. That means no more late nights during the week. (WAH.) However, weekends are still a go.

Just letting everyone know that I won't be on the muck from Aug. 10 to Aug. 19. Try not to have too much fun while I'm gone. ;)
NIMHmuck.org has moved to the new server. Please let me know if you see anything out of sorts.
