Ranger and The Stone!?!
Ok, before you flip out lemme tell you what this is about.
I have been ITCHING to turn ranger back to his original, non-hulky form. The red colored one.
Long ago me and some others, (tim I think you were their) agreed to have ranger attack the Rat's Colony. Bursting in and trying to kill everything in site.
well, Another idea POPPED into my head. What if ranger, upon meeting Justin(hopefully) comes across the stone. Seeing it as a means to exact the ultimate revenge, ranger tries to harness its power.
it backfires.
Ranger is in fact REDUCED in size AND strength! the power sucked out of him. His mind wiped clean, and his eyes lose their deathly yellow glow.
Comments from all and everyone will be apreciated. thank you for listening.
Definitly an RP i'd like to watch :)
That is an RP i would -definitly- like to watch! Cant wait till it takes place!!

Re: Ranger and the Stone
A re-birth of Ranger as someone closer to the rat he started his existence as? That would be cool indeed!
Having only RP'd with Ranger, I think it'd be neat to witness a "rebirth" of Victor...
But that's me. :)

sounds interesting, I
sounds interesting, I wouldent mind being in on that somewhere.
Sounds Interesting!
I think it sounds like a really interesting idea. The colony could indeed use seeing a bit of action. Maybe this could be the first real use of the Signal Points in the muck. Which sort of gives me an idea that might work well with the Ranger Attack idea. I'll discuss it with you sometime on the muck, or what have you if you're interested.
*Turns on his wiz-mode a moment* Although, it would have to be done carefully. Anything involving the stone, could open the floodgates. On the other hand, I think your idea has some real merit, and potential! *turns off his wiz-mode* ;)
"Think First. Think Fast. Be Careful. Pursue. Be Great!!"
I'm for it!
That actually sounds like a really cool idea. I'd be VERY interested to see it play out on MUCK, if i'm there to watch it. I think you're on to something, Rick, though i've never really had the chance to RP with any of the rats, really.
Awesome!
I've actually been waiting for the day that Ranger would be restored to a more 'normal' state; it just seemed that he'd have more opportunities for character development that way (Plus, I think he'd be a bit more sociable, too n.n)
Anyways, I'm all up for this idea. I'm already trying to think of which of my characters to bring into this. I do agree with Xav, though, that this has to be done carefully, especially since it involves the Stone.
Also, Justin's player is on extended leave for the time being. If time is an issue, than we can all get together to work something else out.
In any case, I would be delighted to help out with this plotline. Hopefully, I'll be able to get something in despite being away most of the summer n.n
Stay frosty! ;)

Oposition
believe it or not, but I have actually been hearing some objections to ranger changing back to his orignial Victor form.
I have put allot of thought into this. Though I am still very much for the idea, we have to take into account that ranger is indeed a villian figure, and we are quite scarce of them on the muck. I know that their has been some plotlines as well that people have been wanting to make with the big dark rat. boma I believe is one.
So that seems to be conflicting me. On one hand I will make ranger more social, and perhaps please quite a few people. on the OTHER hand we will be loosing one of the oldest *spare balak and enkidu* villians on the muck, and he is well known. That and I know it would pain a very close friend of mine to see him change.
SO I ask you guys, please add in your input, and help me out with this dilema.
Hmmm...
I have to admit, you have a point there. You've alreayd established Ranger as a sort of dark villain, something we don't have much off on the MUCK. What I think you should do is just save it for later and let the RPs flow naturally. I'm sure you'll have plenty of time on the MUCK ot develop his villainous tendencies and work on some story ideas and collaborations.
I once meant to have one of my characters become a villain, but I wanted him to undergo a dsicernable and logical process towards that. Similarly, you shouldn't try to rush this 'Stone' plotline unti lyou feel you've already finished up all of your villain ideas for Ranger and are ready to move on to something else.
Besides, I have a certain RP with the 'evil' Ranger I'd like to do as well ;)

New Villains
So what's to stop some people from coming up with their own villains to replace Ranger? ;)
Seriously, I've been thinking that it'd be kinda cool to have a "force of nature" sort of villain or group of villains--like a wolf pack--on the muck. Not necessarily evil, but a threat to everyone 'cause they're predators and bigger than basically everyone but FireFoot.
All I'm saying is, I don't think our villains necessarily have to be evil incarnate. I still think this idea sounds awesome. I'm probably sounding off a bit too late to influence any decision, but this is something I just wanted to say.
Laters.

I love your idea
I really like your idea, Caboose. In fact, I think that natural predators would be a very interesting thing to mix in... Could be wolves, wild cats, birds of prey, all sorts of things. Maybe you could spearhead organizing a pack or something?
There is the issue of how the rats would respond to the threat; any thoughts there?
Yay! A Reply! :)
I would be more than happy to spearhead the organization of such a group of villains! :)
As for how the rats would respond to the threat, I guess it'd really depend on the nature of the predators. Without yet knowing the nature of the group, I can only think the rats would start using toxins with the weapons of the guard, perhaps get themselves more archers, and restrict civilian wanderings in the woods. They might also be forced to start stationing guardsrats at the colony fields to protect the gardeners. Depending on how dire the situation, they might even mandate arming and training of the gardeners and those whose work takes them outside the safety of the colony proper for their own protection.
I know these sound like paranoid overkill, and they probably are, but I would imagine there's a distinct difference between evil rats that plot and scheme and attack occasionally and a group of predators that finds a fertile new hunting ground to exploit.
Thanks for the support, Timothy. :)
