Hi, folks! David/Eric/Lucha here. Back in November, for National Novel Writing Month, I began writing something I always wanted to write: an interactive novel. That's the kind where the reader decides what happens at certain junctures. I continued with full steam, and in May, I finished it!

I've published _What Is Best?_ through CreateSpace, a respectable and relatively new print-on-demand company owned by Amazon.com. Print-on-demand means that if you order a copy, they print and ship it immediately for you. This is feasible nowadays because of improvements in digital printing technology. The books are of good quality and people who buy them have told me they find the typesetting quite readable. :)

What is this book of mine about? It's a quest to find the ultimate goal of life, meaning that it ranges all over the place, from war to politics to applied philosophy to hunting to love. Why would NIMHmuckers be interested? Perhaps in part because you play an animal character! You can be either a wild-living mink or a civilized water dragon--that's a kind of lizard--in a fantasy world where animals interact with humans more or less as equals.
