Idea for RP

Well, seeing that things have been rather slow as of late, I guess it's time to start tossing out ideas completely at random and see how things work out. So, let's cut to the chase and toss out ideas that could be of some interest.

- Starting of a secondary colony
The actual motive behind making another colony will be interesting, but it's just an idea to maybe help get things situated. It would be an easy way to 'start things over' in the sense that a different plot could take place with out killing the current plot. Of course, there is the NMC that is hardly used, so if anyone has suggestions on what to do with it, I'd like to hear. I've heard ideas of tearing it down or maybe rebuilding it? Maybe it could fall because of some problem and a group of rodents are sent over to rebuild it? If you have any ideas, please toss some in there. n.n

- Rebellion!
When people rebel against something, another thing always starts and spawns into something new. That is how things are. It's the cycle of life. Chaos, order, to chaos again and again. So, if you like to rebel, maybe we could find a reason to cause a stir amongst the rodents that would cause things to get very tense?

I'm sure if we could think of something, like the appearance of the mice in the colony could be something, and if we could rally supporters (Or non-supporters whatever..) Then Edgar/Jet would stir up some rebellion. Or if we can think of some sort of new 'law' or something like that occurring suddenly because Jet doesn't like change.

All in all, I think it'd be a good idea to get Edgar more involved in roleplay seeing as how he's the bad guy and bad guys make things more fun. X3 If not as the rebellious leader, then a kind of shadow/adviser to him.

I think this has been suggested before. . actually, many times. But there's not been a lot of support for it.. well, not enough to be mountain moving, at least. I've been holding onto a fragment from way back when Brutus was the RP wiz that involved a colony split, as it seemed like too good an idea to be lost with the departure of its creator.

So anyway, if you guys wanna stir up a rebellion, go right ahead. You've got my full support.. or.. you will once classes are over. n_n;

What's known so far? Well, Justin is not currently leading the colony, I think. It's pending a new leader. Who exactly that will be is yet to be seen. Heck, an election or even campaigning is yet to be seen. There's one opening to get some political conflict going.

But to get political conflict going, one has to be able to figure out what the current political atmosphere is. Look around the muck for remnants of the circa 2005 GP and also talk to some of the more senior players to find out how things were going, and where that was taking things.

One has to get deep enough into character to actually begin forming a rift between the colony's members. This would likely take more than one person, and the chars involved would need to be charismatic and well known. Don't have a well known char? Work on getting your character out there for interaction more, or maybe apply for a FC.

Finally, I cannot stress enough the need to just drop the planning and go IC. You won't know how your planned actions might go unless you're already deeply IC. Not to mention, a GP doesn't happen through discussion. This we have already proven. I'm pretty sure that if we stop discussing things so much and just act towards what we want within the theme of the muck and such, things will start happening.

Thank you, Tzol; I couldn't have said it better myself. We need more action and less planning. If something is interesting to you, get a few people together and roleplay it! No wizstaff involvement needed. :)

However, while you don't need to plan everything exhaustively, we would appreciate it if you kept people informed, either by word of mouth, posting on your blog or the forum, or by posting roleplay logs. Interest won't generate itself, y'know. :)

Okay, so before I forget again, let me put this random idea out there...

One way to set up a second colony / split the colony, is to ask the question: where are the children?

Is there a rogue group of NIMH rodents who've been snatching them?

Exactly. So the trick would be figuring out when it happened, then *poof*, instant drama. In theory at least. :P You know me, random ideas.... x.x
