Re: What NIMHmuck scenario would most interest you?

I would do any combination of or all of the first four, utilizing methods to ensure the core characters involved were active, interested, and skilled RPers willing to work with staff to make sure the plot was interesting and reasonably easy to join by others on the muck.

If this failed, starting a new storyline from scratch would be my backup plan. It's an unattractive option to completely nuke everything and start over with all characters and the plot itself being reset to another time period and backdrop, but if necessary to break out of the current RP rut, I would do it.

On both fronts I would support the creation of RP guilds within the muck for different types and skill levels of RP, and though outwardly it might seem a bit clique-ish, I feel it may be necessary and even beneficial with close wizard regulation. However, as an aside I believe certain wiz-sponsored TPs or globally-open RPs should be implemented to maintain global coherence.

An example of this would be a guild for feral creatures, where those who are willing to play or spoof ferals can take part in special sub-plots involving only fellow-ferals, but with some RPs and such being open to all types of character, or perhaps a team-up with another guild to create dynamic meetings amongst groups which are themselves more dynamic and fleshed out than if the guilds had not existed.

Just some thoughts...

Heh; as a feral myself, and being unable to really jump in and pose, a sub-plot would be appreciated.
But that sounds a bit selfish. If I do have a sub-plot, I don't want it to be because I'm a whiny newbie. I sincerely want to engage the other characters and have a good time. RP on!

Perhaps you could have a chat with Kaelin. He's my neurotic squirrel character. I also sometimes spoof a rabbit named Zigzag.

You could also try seeking out Magus, but as a fox he'd be more inclined to try and eat you, unless you were wearing clothes (which ferals don't unless they or their family had a lot of contact with the NIMH rodents).

Re: What NIMHmuck scenario would most interest you?

For me, I would gladly enjoy any of the options chosen. NIMH finding and capturing some of the NIMH mice in the city would help add that sense of a big threat. Ferals stealing crops from the Rats could add a bit of conflict or even humor depending on the situation. Predators in the valley is one thing I think would help improve a lot of RP. It would make areas a bit more dangerous. A side note to go along with this would be to maybe add more natural events. Maybe a tree falls near by or an area floods. Humans arriving in the valley would of course add tension to the colony, maybe causing some rather unwise choices.
