NMC...again...
Well, i guess you could leave it to the one who's major char is a NIMHmouse to bring ths up, but um, I"ve kind of noticed that NMC is...well...dead. Again. I know Tenken's been on hiatus, which doesn't help (by the way, anyone know what's up with him? Last I heard it was connection troubles, but i'm not 100% sure that's accurate). The epidemic seems to have died off, heck all rp seems to have died off.
I know it's been slow for rp in general lately, but I'd still like to see if i can get something started, Matthias had some good ideas, tho i know he's busy lately. At this point I'd settle for anything. Well, short of Apocalypse, anyhow.

Well, several players here apparently don't approve of any ideas from me so I can't help you in coming up with anything. But if an idea does come up for the NMC, I've got Moya available for basically anything in the NMC.

I have also been wondering what's happened to Tenken. And to Hiro, for that matter. Both of them are relatively vital to the epidemic plot.
I've also got an NMC character available, as you know, Tod. But I'm hesitant to try and come up with any ideas because I really don't know much about how the NMC works.
Still, if you'd be up for something between Tod and Hugo between the council meeting and the 'prisoner exchange' RP in the epidemic timeline, let me know. :)

Mm.. I have two 'NIMHmouse' characters... though technically Tzol is not a descendant of the NIMHmice. But he is headed, albeit slowly, in the direction of the NMC. In the meantime, there is Natasha, a relatively young mouse who is a therapist in the NMC. I don't have many ideas for her though; she needs more than just a job and a family life. Her personality requires a 'nightlife', so to speak. But anyways, if you can help me with good ideas for Natty I'd be happy to connect her and RP. Guh, maybe it would be easier if my alts were zombies, eh? I'd at least log them on, then. ;P

Like I said before, I won't provide any ideas of my own for this or anything to do with NIMHmuck. But if there is any need for a NMC sniper, I will be more than happy to bring out Moya.

I'm curious, why do you continue to reply to RP discussions with comments like this? You complain about never doing anything, but then refuse to when the opportunity arises. This just doesn't make any sense to me.
A major point in this sort of RP environment is that we're not going to hold your hand and/or tell you what to do. That might be what high schools and factories want out of people, but to get anything done short of that... You must think for yourself, and think on your feet. Never mind what other people think; it doesn't matter, as long as you and everyone else involved are having fun.

Hmm... One thought would be to set up some other TP in addition to the epidemic plot, but I'm not sure just what that would be. I know that we've got plans to (once Timothy and Jacob are safely out of Oren's paws) to move the Brisby's over to the NMC (Justin wants them there for safety's sake, more than anything else)... And I know there was some thought that NIMH might re-involve themselves at the NMC.

It's news to me that my hare-brained idea of trying to send the Brisbys off actually constitutes a 'plan'. I thought it was still in the 'being mulled over' stage by the relevant players. :)
But yeah, apparently there are at least ideas of what to do with the NMC. We just need to buckle down and get some things started.

The NIMH thing was something i mentioned a few months back (October, was it?) I know there was some interest, but a lot of things in that respect have to be tread with lightly, since it would involve involving humans in the rp's.
Anyhow, I'm up for whatever, I'd be interested to meet Moya ICly. Sounds like an interesting char. As for the rest, I dunno. I'd like to get something started. Personally, the NIMH thing has most potential. I'd like to keep working with the Epidemic, but that's kind of hard without Tenken.

To be honest, though, I haven't really set any descriptions for Moya yet. No, I haven't used her that much. But if there is any use for a mouse like her, I will call her into service (though if it's a TP your talking about, I'm probably already wasting my breath).
Still, at least there are ideas out for NMC. None of which are mine, and that means I can safely bet money that several will eventually happen.

Cedric...if no one listens to your ideas, then why do you keep posting in these threads?
Tzolkin is right. If you don't take the initiative and do something yourself, up to and including promoting your own RP ideas, then you'll never get anywhere. Trust me, I've come up with ideas before that were either rejected or shelved, but I never took this to mean that I was bad at making RPs or that I was somehow a 'loser' because 'no one' would listen to me.
Coming up with a good RP is not an instantaneous process. Often, there are little niggling details and issues that must be dealt with before it can get off the ground. It involves constant revision up to the point of, and even after, the RPs are begun. Just because people have problems with some parts of your idea doesn't mean that they don't want to hear anything more from you. And don't give me the 'that's the way it is IRL' excuse, because that's just a rationalization to avoid properly dealing with the issue.
Look, Cedric, I don't mean to be 'mean', but frankly, the biggest obstacle to you getting involved is yourself.

Look I'm sorry. You apparently don't know what I've been living the past 10 years of my life with. I tried giving my own ideas here once. I put my heart and soul into my idea with the R/C plane. I was nervous about how it would be accepted by the higher order around here so I asked for their opinion on it. Then, just when I got their okay and was ready to start it, the Oren thing came up.
To be honest, I'm not sure I'm going to give another try with it, even if another opportunity were to arise.
But this exact thing /doesn't/ occur in RL. Usually my suggestions are flat out rejected when I mention them. The best I can hope for is the instant death of the subject. My specialty is LEGOs, and I am often the guy people turn to for help with them. But besides that, I'm just treated as an annoyance.
For a few moments, I actually thought one of my ideas may just become reality.
For the record, I don't even have any ideas for this particular subject anyway.

There's no rule that I know of, cept it generally not being a good idea to be in two places at the same time -ICly- for the sake of continuity. OOCly you could, and I've seen some people do this, play the same character in two places at the same time, just different IC time periods.

I saw that post. I also am afraid to cause continuity issues. Also there is a possible issue of how Cedric will leave Kimberly unattended with a certain evil rat lurking around.
Still, if you think we can do it anytime, I'll get the pills for nervousness and schedule a reality check (just in case I'm dreaming here).

If my vote counts (or even if it doesn't), I'm with Tod. I don't think it would be NIMHmuck without, well, NIMH (not that I would know what NIMHmuck is anyway).
