As both Cedric and Kim's parents are First Gens, he already knows them somewhat. However, he hasn't seen them since not long after the move to Thorn Valley.
Cedric and Kimberly climb up the stairs of the northern end of the third level. As they enter it, he says "I hope we find your parents soon, we're running out of places to look."
Kimberly nods to Cedric "We looked every where, even where Mom and Dad work. If they aren't there then their home is the only place left." she said reaching for Cedric's paw as she started down the corridor. "There home should be right down here." she said counting the doors as she headed down the hall a little more.
Cedric follows Kimberly along the corridor. "Lead the way, I don't know where they live. I think I mentioned I haven't seen them since soon after we moved to Thorn Valley."
Kimberly nods to Cedric and smiles as he takes her paw "I think they will be happy to see you again." she said as they neared the door "This is it." she said as she stopped in front of the door and knocked. -- Adrian was at his work desk in the living room when he heard the knock he paused a minute from his work, ready to answer the door if his wife didn't hear.
Cedric waits at the door with Kimberly, "Hopefully they still remember me." Inside, Sylvia hears a knock and goes to the door. Opening it, she sees her daughter with a rat she feels she should know. "Kimberly, what are you doing here? And who is your friend?"
Kimberly smiled "Hi Mom, You remember telling you about my boyfriend Cedric?" she asked stepping aside slightly for her mother to see him. As she stepped aside she saw her father at his desk in the Living room "Hi Daddy!" she called into him with a little wave. -- Adrian blinked and smiled "Why my little Kimmy, What are you doing here?" he asked repeating his wives question as he got up from his desk and approached the door. He hasn't noticed Cedric yet.
Cedric grins, "Hello Sylvia, I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been doing?" Sylvia blinks, "Cedric, it has been a while since we last saw each other. So you are the man who loves my daughter. It's nice to see you again."
Kimberly smiled and tried to nudge Cedric. "See I told you they would remember you." she whispered and turned back to her mother letting them reminisce. -- Adrian finally reached th door as his wife recognizes Cedric "Well I'll be it is you Cedric, How have you been doing the last few years? Why I haven't seen you since we were at the Rosebush colony." he said with a chuckle thrusting his paw out to Cedric for a shake "So your the one who stole our youngest daughter heart are you?" he asked still chuckling.
Cedric feels Kim's nudge, "Yes, I guess they did." After seeing Adrian, he chuckles a bit himself, "Well, I've been mostly working. The colony won't build itself, you know. I was almost worried you wouldn't recognize me." He shakes his outstretched paw, "That's me. But you aren't innocent yourself, having such a beautiful girl around the colony. You knew someone was bound to fall for her." Sylvia laughs a bit, "I guess you have a point. At least it was someone we could trust who fell for her."
Kimberly blushes at all the sudden compliments she doesn't know what to say. She soon notices her father motioning them in and she gladly follows trying to pull Cedric in behind her. "Er...Well, the reason we came here was to let you know that.." she pauses and takes a deep breath before continuing "You two know Cedric and I have been going out for several months now and.." she paused again "Well I'll just say it... Last evening Cedric proposed to me and...and I said 'yes'." she said she said nervously. -- Adrian's smile widened as he released Cedric's paw "Something that were guilty as charged Cedric." he said chuckling again and motioned for them to come in "Please com in you two." He said and smiled even bigger as he hears what his daughter says.
Cedric lets Kim pull him inside, "Yes, I did ask her, this is no joke. We just wanted to let you know before we did anything else." Sylvia smiles, "Well, have a seat and we'll discuss it then. And we appreciate you telling us early on, you know how we want to be informed of these things."
Kimberly smiles at what her mother says and she nods as she sits down on the couch "Yes lets do. Me and Cedric started thinking about the date, we agreed that the wedding would take place two months from now. I hope this is alright?" she asked as she waited for Cedric to sit down. -- Adrian leaned in and hugged his daughter "That wonderful news Kimmy. Two months from now, huh? I hope you don't have anything planned that would interrupt that wonderful date Cedric, I know how busy you can get." he said only half teasing.
Cedric sits down next to Kim on the couch, "No I don't think I have anything important set for that date. To be honest, I don't think I've scheduled anything else that far in the future, yet. I just hope the colony will give me a break long enough for our honeymoon," he adds with a chuckle. Sylvia laughs again, "I can work with two months from now. Are there any other plans you have for this wedding?"
Kimberly shook her head "No not yet, after we decided on the date we decided to talk to you. We thought you would want to discuss the details of the wedding together." she said reaching over to take Cedric's paw again. -- Adrian nodded as he sat down as well "That's good to hear Cedric, I'm sure the colony will give you two time for you honeymoon." he said with a chuckle "Now about your wedding, you better believe we wanted to know about it. We'll be glad to talk over the details." he said reaching over attempting to give Cedric a healthy pat on the back.
Cedric grins as Kim takes his paw, "Well, we didn't want to get too far into it. We thought you might want to have a say in how we did it." He lets Adrian pat his back. Sylvia says, "Yes, there is so much to do. We have to set it up, make a guest list...ooh endless other things. What did you two have in mind?"
Kimberly shrugs "Were not really sure Mom, We would like a wedding that's not too big but not too small either. It's rather difficult to tell what we want in our wedding." she admitted a little sadly. -- Adrian nodded at his daughters words "That's true, planning a wedding can be a little hard to do. But that's what were here for." he said still smileing.
Cedric thinks a bit, "She's right, we don't know what we want, really. Besides what we already told you. We were hoping you could help us." Sylvia smiles, "Like my husband said, that's what we're here for. Dear, where do you think we should start with?"
Kimberly shrugs "I'm not really sure Mom, perhaps maybe we can start with guests and maybe the wedding size." she said a little confused. "I already invited Simon along for the wedding." she said finally. -- Adrian nodded and addressed his daughter "Simon, Simon Tesla the Gardener?. Well there's one fellow you can talk to for Decorations." he said.
Cedric grins, "I seem to remember Simon. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten around to inviting any guests of my own. My apologies, but I'll try to get a few friends to invite." Sylvia nods, "Yes, Simon is a good choice." She thinks for a moment, "It may be a good idea to invite Justin, if he isn't busy. Now, who else to ask?"
Kimberly nods at her mothers choice for another guest "Thats true, I do wish Jordan were here though, I'm sure she would love to be at my wedding." Kim said sadly "I just wish I knew where she is." she added brushing a threatening tear from her eye. -- Adrian frowned slightly hugging his daughter with one arm "I think we all do Kimmy Your sister would definitely like to be at your wedding. We just hope where ever she is she's safe." he said reassuringly hugging his daughter a little tighter.
Cedric frowns and tries to end the sadness, "Don't give up hope on her, maybe she will return in time to see the wedding. Remember, it is still two months away. A lot can happen in that time frame." Sylvia sobs a bit, "I hope we get to see her again. I miss her so much, as do the rest of us." She wipes her tears away at Cedric's comment, "You think she might? You are such a sweet boy for giving us hope." She turns to the others, "And he is right, this should be a time of happiness. All we can do for our daughter right now is pray she is alright. Now back to the wedding plans," she says with a smile.
Kimberly wiped away a tear and smiled at Cedric's words "I hope your right Cedric, I really do miss her." she said and began trying to think of other guests to invite. -- Adrian nods at Cedric's words "True Cedric, which means we need to carry on with our lives and theses wedding preparations. Where ever Jordan is, I'm sure she'll find her way back here." he said and also fell silent thinking of guests to invite.
Cedric goes quiet for several moments, lost in thought. "Timothy is a nice boy, how about we bring him?" Sylvia is lost in thought, but snaps out of it when Cedric talks. "Yes, Timmy would be nice. But why not invite the entire Brisby family?"
Kimberly nods at her mothers words "Why not, I mean I don't know all of them too well but I think it's a good idea. I admit I don't know alot of the citizens here, with all the time I spent self-teaching myself the map making and stuff." she said sheepishly reaching again for Cedric's paw. -- Adrian headshakes "You certainly did spend alot of time locked away in your room Kimmy. Its good to see you finally got out and met someone great." he said and suddenly though of another guest to invite "Hey Cedric, I heard you were in the Infirmary for a little while. Why don't you invite some of the Infirmary staff to your wedding?" he asked
Cedric chuckles a bit nervously, "Yes, if they aren't too tired of me. I spent a few months in there, don't forget. I also think Isabella has something against me when I called her...something else." Sylvia nods, "Yes Kim, you practically lived in your room." She laughs a bit at Cedric, "Oh come on, I'm sure the staff won't mind attending your wedding. And whatever you called Isabella, she can't be that mad at you."
Kimberly nods "That's a good idea Dad, Why don't you ask the Infirmary staff Cedric. Ooo...Maybe we could invite Binabi, what do you think Cedric?" she asked looking over to her Future Husband. -- Adrian blinks "Who is Binabi?" he asks looking at the young couple.
Cedric looks at Kimberly, "You haven't told them, yet?" He turns back towards her parents, "Binabi is a mouse Kimberly found in the Valley. She seems to recognize us as friendly, but she may get nervous with the others in the colony." Sylvia nods, "Well, you two best be careful. Even a mouse might be dangerous."
Kimberly thought of Binabi a few seconds "She's a strange little mouse, But she seems quite harmless to us, I think its worth inviting her." she says thoughtfully. -- Adrian nods in agreement with his wife "Your mother's right Kim, mice can be dangerous, But its your decision if you choose to invite her, then so be it." he said patting his daughters shoulder.
Cedric nods, "Yes, Binabi is a bit...different. But I highly doubt she really is dangerous as long as she thinks of others as friends. I have yet to see her attack someone, though she probably was a bit scared of me at first." Sylvia nods, "That may be, but this Binabi sounds like someone to keep an eye on. She may be trying to use you two to get into the colony."
Kimberly headshakes to her mother "I don't think Binabi even knows of the Colony, She knows I live somewhere but I never told her where I live and she still shows friendship toward me. I trust her." she said and began thinking of other possible guests. -- Adrian smiles "Well that convinces me, If you trust this Binabi, Kim, I trust her too. Now lets drop the subject Sylvia." he said and fell silent thinking.
Cedric smiles, "I've only seen Binabi once, and she seems safe. However, my conclusion can't count since I only met her once." He thinks a moment, "She doesn't seem the type that would want to attack the colony. She looks like a mouse trying to live a simple life, though she also appears to have a mysterious past." Sylvia looks at Cedric, "Still, I would be careful around her until we know for sure what she is like." Her ears perk at his last statement, "What do you mean by a mysterious past?"
Kimberly shrugs after a little bit of thought "I don't know allot of Colony Citizens so I'm out of possible invitee's." she said frowning a little looking from her mother to her father "You two probably know a lot more folks than I do. Now what about Wedding size? How big or small should we go?" she asked looking around for a response. -- Adrian shrugged "That we do Kimmy but we don't know as many citizens as you would think. First generation citizens like, Me, your mother, and Cedric there of course we know. Some of the second Generations like yourself Kim and your brothers and sisters we might know. But as far as Third or fourth Generations, not so much. Hmmm." he finished and fell silent thinking again.
Cedric nods, "It is true, I barely know anyone who isn't a First Generation. Although you, of course, are in a short list of exceptions." He looks up for a moment, "I honestly can't think of any others to invite besides other First Generations." Sylvia frowns, "Yes, it's true. We really don't know many rats outside our First Generation friends." She thinks for a moment, "As for the wedding size. I think we may wind up with a smaller one, considering we don't even know that many others here."
Kimberly nods sadly thinking "Maybe we could send out invitations to everyone in the Colony, and anyone interested could talk to one of us." she said as the thought suddenly popped into her head. -- Adrian nodded "That's a good idea Kimmy. What do you think Sylvia?" he asked looking over to his wife.
Cedric grins and nods, "Yes, I think that is a great idea." He pauses for a moment, "But we might get more than we bargained for. We might get a lot of guests wanting to come." Sylvia nods, "I think that is a wonderful idea." At Cedric's comment, she frowns for a moment. She smiles, "But we will still have control over who comes, though it might get difficult deciding who to not invite if we want a smaller wedding."
Kimberly shrugs "It doesn't have to be too small of a wedding." she said and thought about her up-and-coming wedding "The next big Question is; Who are we going to get to perform the ceremony?" she asked again looking to everyone present. -- Adrian nodded "Like we said earlier Kim, The wedding size is entirely up to you." he said pausing as he heard Kim's latest question. "Indeed that is an important question." he said smileing.
Cedric nods, "That is probably one of the most important questions. Unfortunately, I'm at a loss to answer it. I don't know any First Generation rats who can do a ceremony for us, unless there is someone I forgot." Sylvia sighs, "I think the size is the least of our worries now. Let's focus on who will perform the ceremony, because I don't remember anyone here who can, either." She thinks for a moment, "I know Justin probably can't do it..." She trails off in thought, wondering who can do the ceremony to marry off her daughter.
Kimberly nods at her mothers words frowning a bit "I don't have any idea where to even start looking for such a person." she said sadly "But we do need to find someone to do it." she added just as sadly.-- Adrian shook his head "This is definitely a predicament. I may just have to ask around, surely somebody would know something." he said still thinking.
Cedric nods at Adrian's comment, "Good idea." He starts grinning, "I'll ask around the workshops while I'm working to see if anyone there knows anything." Sylvia cracks a smile herself, "I think that is a wonderful idea, Cedric. Perhaps my husband and I will ask around while we're working as well."
Kimberly nods "In my line of work I don't see too many other people but when I do see someone I'll be sure to ask about it too." she said leaning against Cedric and reaching for his paw again. -- Adrian smiled as Kim leaned into her Fiance`. "Okay, Well if any of us find anything out don't hesitate letting us know. Now I've still got some work to do so I better get back at it. Good luck you two and I hope you have a good and happy life. "He said rising from his seat winking at his daughter and getting ready to head back to his desk.
Cedric nods, "Then it's agreed. We'll all ask around and find each other if we find anything." He feels Kim's paw reaching for him, and he takes it in his, smiling as he does so. Sylvia smiles, "It's settled, then." She looks around, "Now I've got some things of my own to do, so why don't you two run along now," she says, getting out of her seat.
Kimberly smiled a Cedric and started to get up from the couch she still had a hold of his paw. She turned facing Cedric and reaching for his other paw she was going to help him up. "Okay Dad, Mom we better get going too." she said smiling down at her Fiance`. -- Adrian nodded "We'll I think you two know the way out, I'll see you two later." he said smiling and returned to his desk to finish his work.
Cedric grabs Kim's other paw and pulls himself up with her help, "Thank you Kim." He turns to Adrian and Sylvia, "And thank you two for letting us do this. It was also nice meeting you two again." Sylvia grins, "You are quite welcome, Cedric. Just be sure to take good care of our Kimmy." She turns to go back to her work before turning back to the lovers, "And don't be strangers, pay us some more visits sometime, alright?"
Kimberly smiles to her mother "Okay Mom, we sure will. Bye." she said waving to her parents and started for the door. -- Adrian looked from his work back to the departing couple "Good bye Kim, Cedric, It was good to see you again too Cedric. Take care of yourselves." he said waving to them and returned to his work.
Cedric follows Kim to the door, "It was very nice meeting you two again." Sylvia starts back toward her work, "Goodbye you two. Enjoy yourselves, you hear?"
Kimberly waves to her parents "We will." she said and opened the door preparing to lead Cedric through it still holding his paw. -- Adrian was already busy and didn't reply but continued his work.
Cedric allows Kim to lead him through the door, "Thank you Kimmy." Sylvia has already returned to her work and doesn't hear them.
Kimberly closed the door behind them. "Well that went well, don't you think Cedric?" she asked facing him and leaned in to kiss him.
Cedric blushes as Kimberly kisses him, but nods. "Yes, I believe that went very well. But you know we all have a job to do now."
Kimberly smiles and nods "Yes we do, well its getting late would you like to walk me home?" she asked reaching for his paw again.
Cedric takes Kim's paw in his, "Well, I guess since it's close to mine, why not?" He grins as he starts down the corridor towards the ramp with Kimberly.

You'll have more reason soon. I know I keep saying that, but Binabi's role has probability to increase Cedric's role in things.
Possibly. And even then there's the chance it will end up being RP's that are forgotten after the first 5 poses. But don't worry, unless I miraculously come up with some way for Cedric to leave Kim without breaking her heart or making her a widow, I'm staying. I may tick people off constantly, but I'm no widowmaker.
would it be possible to move RPs to a separate RPG forum from the muck?
Not sure I understand the question. This website allows you to post things in multiple places--the blogs are for people's RP logs, and the forum is for discussing muck stuff like plots, characters, etc. There are other areas to post in, too, each with its own intended type of content.
This is the official site for all things muck-related.
And I'm a little irked by your second comment--this isn't exactly the busiest of websites, as you must have already noticed. Just because there's not a reply in 24 hours doesn't mean that one isn't coming.
~Kieran
I'll just take it as another reason to leave. Looks like my days on this muck are numbered.
Well, thoughts of leaving have been coming in my head for a few months now. But only recently has it started sounding like a good idea. And only very recently has something come up where I can possibly RP with the only one there I ever RP with anymore.
I was just wondering if unfinished RPs could be continued off the muck or this website.
And for the record, I'll stay on at least until the end of the year. If nothing else has happened to Cedric (adventure, action, danger, etc.) by then, I'll leave. That should give me enough time to finish the several current RPs I've got him in. So I've got almost a year left, at least, of double dull lives to live.
And just a bit of useless information, this is the only reason I'm still on the muck. I can't think of a way to put Cedric away ICly without killing him (if that is even possible given the danger he's faced or lack thereof). And no way am I leaving poor Kimberly a widow, it's just not happening. So to whom it may concern and still want me here, thank Jacob's player for creating Kimberly.
