Tzolkin will be handling a lot of behind-the-scenes maintenance and coding to help make the muck a nicer, more user-friendly place to visit. If there's a bug, or if you'd like to request a feature on the muck, let him or any other wizstaff know, and we'll definitely consider it. If it's a good idea, it's very likely to make the muck.
Log of his inauguration follows:
In preparation for my internship, I will be moving the server that hosts Thorn Valley and NIMHmuck.org on Wednesday, April 16 to my sister's home (yay for nice sisters!) and hosting it on her connection for the 3 months that I will be away on my internship. The server will be down from around 1 PM MDT, and won't be back up until it's back up--hopefully around 6-7 PM MDT. Update: The server was moved successfully.
This is a log of a discussion we had today about a colony of bats that we're planning on bringing to Thorn Valley. I'm hoping that we can post an executive summary soon, but for those of you who don't mind wading through the brainstorming process, here's what we came up with:
Timothy was wondering if there was any more plans/thoughts you had for that bat colony idea? (re, in case you missed it)
Jesmin did miss it! "I've rattled at a few details. We definitely need to decide on their relationship to the canon world, like with the rats and otherbeasts." :]
I'm not sure if anyone will be able to see this, but here goes: Thorn Valley's DNS is having issues, which is causing problems for people who want to connect. If muck.nimhmuck.org isn't working for you, try either thornvalley.dyndns.org or 67.161.219.243 instead.
Update (Nov 17): I've had Jeff make some changes to the DNS, so things should start working again normally for NIMHmuck. Note that Thorn Valley is still down however.
Update (Nov 23): The muck's been having some glitchiness for some unknown reason. I'm back from vacation so I should be able to keep a closer eye on things. Please let me know if you see anything out of the ordinary.
We ought to have a Halloween party! I know Tzolkin's been decorating up for it, and I've heard some murmurings about the idea. So let's get something organized!
Tim asked me to come up with a summary of what’s happened to Justin from the point of view of everyone not directly involved in the schemes of a certain councilrat, so here goes…
Everything started the day of Zohar and Gabrielle’s wedding. A few of the guests saw Raganzi and Justin head back into the tunnel leading off the terrace and down into the colony after Raganzi offered a toast to the newlyweds. They got their next glimpse of Raganzi when he collapsed in shock at the door of said tunnel, bleeding heavily from a severe chest wound.
Didn't even realize posts weren't showing up on the forum... and I was wondering why people weren't posting there... n.n; It's fixed now, though.
NIMHmuck.org has moved to the new server. Please let me know if you see anything out of sorts.
For those of you who are able to sign on July 14:
We tried to get people together for a second meeting concerning the humans in the GP, and there is a secondary meeting for internal colony problems also planned.
If you haven't seen the blog post I set up concerning the meeting schedule, please do so and leave a note either here or on that block telling us if you'll beable to make it. We can't make the GP work unless we have communication!
